Pocono Club Meeting Schedule

Every Thursday - 9 a.m. - Bingo at Pleasant Valley Manor

Activities: 

Each month the Pocono Club donates food to a different food pantry in the area.  They have eight food banks on their list.  They have also delivered Ditty Bags and Hug-A-Bears to the Ronald McDonald House in Scranton; Hug-A-Bears to the Pocono Medical Center, Pediatrics Department; Saddlebags for walkers and wheelchairs to the Good Shepherd Department at the hospital; Gift Cards to the Women's Resource Center and baby hats, cancer hats, lap robes for the nursing homes.  They also continue to send boxes to our service people in Iraq and Afghanistan. Club members volunteer at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church on a project called "Kids Against Hunger".  The packets were distributed by the military to earthquake victims in Haiti and Chilean.  Hygiene kits were delivered to Women's Resources along with gift cards and cell phones.  A vacuum cleaner was donated to Pocono Area Transitional Housing.  They collect aluminum can tabs and UPC labels from Campbell Soup cans.  These items are given to schools and used to buy school supplies.  Our members volunteer for Meals on Wheels, American Red Cross, AARP and Cancer Society.
