"A Century of Telephone Trucks"
by Jim Marquette

With 274 pages, this book will certainly bring back a lot of memories to those of you who drove some of these trucks.  There will be a lot of nostalgia as you page through the book, which shows pictures of trucks and Bell System vehicles from the turn of the Century through the 90's.  You'll also see pictures of splicers, linemen (and women), and even some of the many collectible toy trucks that have been made.  This book is spiral bound.

Here is another book by Verizon retiree and Pioneer Jim Marquette. This book features photographs of picture postcards advertising the early telephone.  Picture postcards were first used in 1893 to advertise the Chicago World's fair. Then the Bell Telephone Company started using them to advertise their services and products. These cards are from the early 1900s and some show uses of the phone, such as calling for transportation or the fire department. The book is dedicated to the many people who spent their entire lives working in the telephone industry. Price: $15, including shipping.  Once again Jim is giving a small portion of the proceeds to the Pioneers.
This book is in color and shows great old picture post cards where the phone is being used.  The book has a soft cover.
