Pioneer
Veterans Honored at Memorial
The L.H. Kinnard Chapter officers have honored all Pioneer veterans
by purchasing a granite memorial plaque at Ft. Indiantown Gap
National Cemetery. Dedication of the plaque was held at the
Gap on July 20, 2002 at 4 p.m. to coincide with the Sports
Jamboree events. The proceeds from the $1,500 plaque helped
build a new amphitheater at the National Cemetery. If you would
like to make a donation, please call Kathy Snyder for information
at 800-322-6710.

With
gorgeous blue skies, a slight breeze, and many Pioneers in attendance, the
Veterans' Memorial Ceremony takes place on the afternoon of July 20,
2002. In a very moving speech by Colonel Buck Buchanan, US Army
Retired, also a volunteer at
the Sports Jamboree, Pioneers and guests learned how important it is to
honor veterans and say "Thank You" to those who have fought for our freedom,
even more dear to us since Sept. 11, 2001. |
